Elegant Golf Club Wedding: Catherine's and Jonathan's Celebration at Eagle Ranch Resort,

Invermere

There are some wedding days where the setting quietly takes the lead, and Eagle Ranch Resort is one of those places.

Perched above the Columbia Valley in Invermere, Eagle Ranch Resort feels open, calm, and expansive in a way that immediately softens the pace of the day. The view stretches across the wetlands below, with soft green layers of landscape unfolding into the distance, while Mount Nelson stands tall in the background, grounding everything in true Rocky Mountain scenery.

When I arrive here to photograph a wedding, there’s always this sense of ease. Nothing feels crowded or rushed — the space naturally invites people to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and just be present.

The ceremony space at Eagle Ranch is beautifully simple, yet incredibly striking!

A paved path leads guests toward the gazebo, which sits elevated with wide views over the wetlands and surrounding valley. It’s the kind of setting where nothing needs to be added — the mountains, the sky, and the open spaces do all the work.

On this day, Catherine and Jonathan shared their ceremony here, surrounded by that quiet mix of nature and intention. The wind moved gently through the space, adding a natural softness to everything — dresses, veils, and small in-between moments that often become the most meaningful photographs.

When Catherine and Jonathan planned their wedding, there was no question that Eagle Ranch Resort would be the place they wanted to celebrate.

The setting itself carries so much of the experience — from the sweeping views over the Columbia Valley wetlands to the soft green movement of the golf course and the mountain backdrop that frames it all.

Throughout the day, you could feel a natural connection between the couple and their guests — a sense of ease, warmth, and presence that carried through every part of the celebration.

What makes Eagle Ranch Resort especially appealing for weddings is that the ceremony space is just one part of a much larger experience.

Beyond the gazebo overlooking the wetlands, the resort offers a full setting for the day to unfold naturally in one place — from getting ready to celebrating with guests afterward without needing to travel between locations.

Couples often take advantage of the surrounding grounds for portraits, including the iconic swing overlooking the valley, the open green spaces of the golf course, and the tucked-away viewpoints that look out toward the mountains. Each area feels connected, yet offers something slightly different in atmosphere and perspective.

For guests, everything is thoughtfully accessible and easy to navigate, which helps the entire day feel relaxed and unforced. There is space to gather, space to celebrate, and space to simply take in the surroundings.

Looking back on Catherine and Jonathan’s wedding at Eagle Ranch Resort, I’m reminded of how powerful it is when a place and a moment align so naturally. Set against the backdrop of the Columbia Valley and the distant peaks of Mount Nelson, their ceremony unfolded with a quiet kind of beauty. It was an honour to witness and document a day so rooted in presence, connection, and the people who matter most.
