Hey! Schön, dass du da bist – that’s German for ‘so glad you’re here.’

I’m Denise – a family and wedding photographer, a loving wife, and a proud mama to our sweet little girl. We’re lucky to call Fairmont Hot Springs home – a place where our days are filled with mountain views, fresh air, and plenty of love...and a little chaos, thanks to toddler life :)

Originally from Germany, I followed my heart to the Columbia Valley in 2018 and never looked back. This is where I fell in love with photography – inspired by the wild beauty of the mountains, the quiet magic of sunrise walks, and the glowing light of golden hour. Capturing genuine moments in these stunning backdrops has become my passion and joy.

The secret to great portraits is building confidence

Many families miss out on the joy of a family photoshoot because they feel self-conscious or worry the kids might misbehave. I tell my clients to think of a photoshoot as a fun outing! You wouldn't stress too much if you were just visiting a park, right?

 

So, imagine that. Let the kids be wild, run around, and explore. I'm there to capture all those little interactions and genuine smiles. When the moment is right, we'll take some posed shots for the family photo wall. When was the last time you watched a sunset together or started a tickle fight? I want you to do all those fun things that make you a family! Let's capture the closeness, fun, and genuine laughter!

You wish you could freeze time, keeping them little and curious just a bit longer. But since time flies, the best you can do is capture every precious moment in a photo to cherish forever.
